1. Who we are

This website is operated by:

Absolute Music is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our correspondence address is available on request via the email address above.

2. What data we collect

We only collect the data you actively give us through the forms on this site:

• Free Tracks Drops: your email address.
• Stay Connected (newsletter): your email address.
• Demo submission: artist name, email address, track title, genre, SoundCloud link and your message, plus your Instagram and Spotify pages if you choose to share them.

The site uses no analytics, no advertising trackers and sets no tracking cookies. Our security provider (Cloudflare, including its Turnstile anti-spam check on our forms) processes technical data such as your IP address to protect the site against attacks and spam, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie for that purpose. Our web server keeps short-lived technical logs.

3. Why we process your data

• Free tracks and newsletter: with your consent, to send you the releases, free tracks and label updates you signed up for. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
• Demo submissions: to listen to your demo and get back to you about it. We process this data because we need it to handle the request you make when you submit.
• Site security: our legitimate interest in keeping the website and the forms safe from abuse.

4. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run this site:

• SMTP2GO: delivers the emails we send you.
• Hetzner (Germany): hosts this website within the EU.
• Cloudflare: provides security and anti-spam protection. Cloudflare may process limited technical data outside the EU under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Our merchandise store at abslt.store runs on Shopify and has its own privacy policy covering orders and payments.

5. How long we keep your data

• Email signups: until you unsubscribe.
• Demo submissions: up to 6 months after you send them in.
• Technical logs: kept for a short period, at most 30 days, and only for security.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email us at [email protected] and we will take care of it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

7. Minors

Our newsletter and demo submissions are not directed at children under 16. If you are under 16, only sign up with the consent of a parent or guardian.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page.
